— Home Base

Fort Myers Is Home. Your Dock Is the Shop.

EJ's Mobile Marine Services is based in Fort Myers, Florida, on the Caloosahatchee River. Everything we do is mobile: the truck, the tools, the diagnostic equipment and the technician come to your slip, your lift or your marina. Nothing gets hauled, trailered or left in a shop queue for a week.

That matters more in Southwest Florida than almost anywhere else. Marine air conditioning here is not a seasonal convenience — it is the system that makes a cabin habitable in August, keeps a liveaboard comfortable through the night, and keeps a charter or a family weekend from ending early. When it fails, the boat needs a technician that day, where it floats.

Owner-operated by Edgar Nieto since 2021, EJ's works exclusively on marine air conditioning, refrigeration and chilled-water systems — self-contained package units, split systems and full chiller plants, plus the pumps, strainers, controls, sensors and VFDs that keep them running. Dometic, Aqua-Air, Flow Marine, Condaria and CTM are all familiar ground. English and Spanish spoken: Se Habla Español.

— Local Conditions

Why Southwest Florida Is Hard on Marine A/C.

Boats here do not get an off-season. Air conditioning systems run nearly year-round in heat and humidity that punish every weak component, and they pull their cooling water from some of the warmest, most biologically active water in the country. Understanding those conditions is most of the diagnosis.

We plan maintenance intervals around this reality rather than a generic manual schedule — because a system in Pine Island Sound and a system in a Naples long-term slip wear out in completely different ways.

Extreme summer heat and humidity loading systems for months at a time
Year-round A/C use with no seasonal recovery period
Warm saltwater raising condensing temperatures and cutting capacity
Barnacles and marine growth choking raw-water intakes and strainers
Hurricane-season storage, layup and startup faults
Liveaboard systems running 24/7 with high compressor runtime

— Common Questions

Service Area FAQs.

Do you come to my marina?

Yes. EJ's is 100% mobile — we service boats at marina slips, private docks, lifts and boatyards. Nothing needs to be moved to a shop.

Do you charge a travel fee outside Lee County?

Lee County is our home service area at standard rates. Collier, Charlotte and Sarasota counties may carry a travel charge depending on location and scope — always quoted by phone before the visit is booked.

How fast can you get to my boat?

It depends on the day's schedule and where the vessel is. Fort Myers and the rest of Lee County are fastest. Call (239) 317-9255 and we'll give you a realistic window instead of a guess.

Do you service boats on lifts at private docks?

Yes — that's a large share of our work in Cape Coral, Punta Gorda and Marco Island. We need vessel access and shore power to test the system under load.

Do you travel outside Florida?

By arrangement, for defined projects. Completed trips include Key West, the Bahamas and Boston. See our travel service page for how that works — it is travel by arrangement, not a local office.

Which marine A/C brands do you service?

Dometic, Aqua-Air, Flow Marine, Condaria and CTM, plus the pumps, controls, sensors and VFDs those systems rely on.

Do you work on chilled-water systems as well as self-contained units?

Yes. Self-contained package units, split systems and chilled-water plants are all core work, including multi-zone air handlers and staged controls.

Can you handle emergency or after-hours calls?

Emergency service is available. Call (239) 317-9255 for direct phone triage and after-hours dockside response when the situation is urgent.

Do you service marine refrigeration too?

Yes — marine refrigeration and air conditioning are both part of what we diagnose, repair and maintain.
